Bob Duff: Avs fan takes Wings' Glendening for quit the thrill ride Detroit Red Wings center Luke Glendening rode along with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in an F/A-18 Hornet on Wednesday at the Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Mich.

wht r the lines with Franzen playing ...

seems like Miller and Andersson are slowly but surely being pushed off the roster. Ferraro looked better then both last season/playoffs and Pulkinnen is on the team now.

I have no clue, but for the start of the season ( if he even makes it that far ) I'd like to see him as a bottom 6 net crasher with some pp time on either unit. I wouldn't want to rush him in any way, if there were lingering symptoms. If I had to guess, he or Pulky will switch wings.

Tats - Datsyuk - Abdelkader
Zetterberg - Richards - Gus
Franzen - Sheahan - Pulky
Ferraro - Glendening - Jurco

Tatar - Datsyuk - Abby
Z - Richards - Nyquist
Jurco - Sheahan - Pulky
Ferraro - Helm - Franzen

Either way I feel like we are short a penalty killer. Figure the pairs up front there would have to be some combination of abby, helm, ferraro and sheahan.

Haha, I forgot about Helm. Yeah, I wouldn't mind him on the 4th line as a winger. He's a solid forechecker but can't convert nearly enouhh for the chances he gets. So I guess having him and Ferraro rotating. I don't know, maybe having Franzen in is a bad idea, I like having two way players when the games start to matter. And Glendening is absolutely key to having a two way game. The way he shut down the triplets when he was on the ice was amazing. And to think we could have a full year of him shutting down top offensive players has me excited!

Count me in on the side who thinks our lineup is stronger without Franzen.

I like him, don't get me wrong. And after looking at his stats, he has been on about 60 point pace. If he can maintain that, I think he could be a solid contributer. And if he does, we would have some incredible scoring depth. But I think if the going gets tough, go ahead and slot Ferraro in instead of him. Maybe if he preforms, he and Ericsson could be trade bait.
